The 3rd Annual Wasaga Beach Freeride.
June 24-25, 2017
Wasaga offers a river for flatwater (only about 6ft deep on average), lots of boat traffic for those who like to chase boats, and Georgian Bay can generate some decent waves... something for every riding style. The launch area has plenty of parking (costs about $20 for the day), has washrooms, and a few picnic tables.
I have called Wasaga Pines Campground (705-322-2727) which is located about 7 min from the launch and they have 15 campsites available that weekend. Water and hydro at each site. 4 adults per campsite (2 children allowed per site also, but 4 adults max). 2 tents per site (dinning tent counts as a tent). 2 vehicles per site (trailer counts as a vehicle) extra vehicles can be parked in an overflow parking lot. Price is $124.30 per site for the two nights (taxes in). Check in time is 2pm and checkout time is 11am. Sites will book up fast so make sure you book well in advance. Let them know you're with the Wasaga Beach Freeride and they will try to group everyone together.
