Super Jet Want to make hood pad for Wamiltons hood

Just got my new ski and got a new wamiltons hood and nose piece. I have a tubed poll on it and I want to make a hood pad for it. It has the hood ratchet strap on it so it'd have to be a two part pad. I was wondering what foam you guys used, or if you guys even have some for sale. Let me know!

I have a very similar set up, I used some 25mm hydroturf underpad, contact cemented 2 pieces together and cemented it to the underside of the pole. nice and cushiony when it hits and has never bottomed out enough where my ratchet was a factor.

I have the x-metal adjustable pole so its a very slimlined pole, you hardly notice the top of the pole over the groove in my wammer 8 hold hood when you look at it from the side. If you have a stock pole or one of the thicker handle poles it may set up too high for your liking.

I have a Bill Smiths custom tubed pole. So it is similar to yours.

25MM hydroturf is what I would use. it holds up, isn't terribly expensive and you can use whats left when you re-turf your ski .

The parts slingin Brit has a whole bunch of sweet ATP shock pads. Easy to install too, peel the back off the sticker and stick it were you wish.
