Vxr 650 an ok donor ?

My 1990 sn is pretty rough shape as far as a few drivetrain issues. I have a friend with a vxr 650 that was wrecked in the 90's (glass issue only) and has a super low use drivetrain. Is it worth it to swap the stuff from the vxr to my superjet? I have tried searching and all I could find was the midshaft thread from jet maniac. Any advice or experience is greatly appreciated. Mayday.

The motor and eBox will drop right in. Depending on your goals and budget it is definitely a valid option. I would think about going 701 or better if you can afford it., but if you just need to get back on the water cheap could be a good deal for you.

I used the vxr 650 as my donor ski for my 701 superjet. I got it stupid cheap, but I used the crank, the midshaft, pump, driveshaft, ebox, fuel pickups. Jet maniac cut the driveshaft to superjet length, rebuilt the pump, and rebuilt the midshaft/new housings. I already had a motor with a bad crank so the vxr 650 was perfect donor ski for me. If I didn't have a 701 motor already I would have looked for a vxr pro 701

Great feedback! Helps a ton. This ski is primarily for my kids to learn on. My 13 year old daughter rides it now and will be upgrading to my 98 rn soon. At that point my 10 yr old daughter will get the sn. That's why I want to keep it as stock as I can and fig having the spare parts can't be bad. Really appreciate the help! Mayday.
