are the vin #s on a rn on a plate or enscribed on the hull? thanks

Mine has a plate on the back of the hull opposite of the exhaust, I believe there is one in the engine bay as well

There is a plate on the inside of the engine compartment at the top of the bulkhead on the left (port) side. On my '06 there is a stainless steel hin plate on right rear (starboard) side of the hull.
