u buy v-force ones then they will last about 1/2 hour
but the v-force twos last for ever
well in my experience
you can tell by the colour of the plastic
the v 1s have black plastic and the 2s have gray

the newer ones the petals last for ever
i got 3 years out of my last set before i replaced them
They werent frayed just there was a wear mark from slamming agaisnt the cage
The v-force i have a rep for breaking reed petals
But if they are working for you then great

I bought those v-force reeds slightly used and all the petals look great so hopefully I will get a solid season out of them.......we will see in a few months how they held up.
