Type 9 Dry Pipe compared to B pipe on 850cc DASA?

Is the type 9 pipe similar/same as a power factor pipe? Would swapping out my B pipe on my 6mm DASA stroker for a type 9 see any benefits - I'm running TL and Full Specs as well.

Reason for asking is I can get a type 9 at a killer price and thought it might be a cheap Perf upgrade?

Does your DASA have the low pro powervalves? If not, you will need to dent the hell out of the Type 9 to fit.

As for power, the wet B pipe will have more initial torque down low, but they sign off very quick. The Type 9 makes much more power overall. The Type 9 is very similar in tuning to the power factory pipe. Most people with big bore powervalves like the dry pipes overall hit compared to the initial of the b that signs off quick. About the only place the b pipe has major advantages is in the surf. They are about bullet proof there.

Scottie,

That's really helpful thanks - in answer to your question my DASA is a NPV version running a 6mm stroke at 847cc so no worries about PV catching on the pipe.

Are the Type 9's a bitch to setup?

I'll be installing this in my new XFS with a cart tank so space should be OK.

Cheers

type 9 will wake that motor up. you can set your motor up to hit harder then a b pipe everywhere. i've ran stock, b, type 4, speedwerx freestyle dry, type 9, octane dry pipe, pfp dry and a wdk dry. notice something there? dry pipe all the way haha

Just found out my new pipe is a type 4 not a type 9 - how do these compare to a B Mod pipe?

Cheers,

Compared to a b-mod pipe it will hit harder every where. if you want more low down and better hit then put a limited chamber on that ski
