Surfriding Two Foot Strpas or One?

Did a search but couldnt find much. I have Rickter with rear footholds. I finally decided to install a front foot strap over foothold but now Im thinking of installing another foot strap in the rear instead of using the rear foothold. Does this make sense? hats everyone else doing with the same circumstances as mine?

Thanks,
Peter

I haven't done my job yet. I rode Tom21 ski.

He had his front toe hold and rear foot holds. I felt okay riding surf stance with my front foot under the toe hold and my back foot in the foot hold, but I would prefer a rear strap because I like to ride wakeboard stance. I came from wake boarding. The foot hold is too far to the side and I like my rear foot in the center of the ski on the kicker.

I'm going to go with rear foot holds, tom21 front toe hold and one rear strap for surf stance. I know after riding toms ski that this will work well for me. Rear strap will be sligly turned (so my foot is only about 30* turned compared to the back of the hull.

I was thinking about doing hull inserts so I could have an adjustable strap (think about how you can turn a wakeboard boot angle) but I haven't figured it out yet.

It's all personal preference - a lot of guys recommend that you go with a front foothold first (Pancake Pete style - Rad Dudes is making them I think) to find how you want to run your F strap - then once you have the foot position down you can drill it into the deck.

Good thread on how to install them: http://www.x-h2o.com/threads/51386-footstrap-insert-option

All personal preference. I have front strap and holds. The holds are tight in the toe area so I keep my right foot in the hold. I have thought of putting a rear strap but I feel it may get in the way as I use my right foot for balance and like that foot being less constrained. I think you will see tc and zack bright using two straps bc they are constantly doing aerials. I still consider myself a noob and only progressing stabs and re entries atm. I do keep my foot in the front strap always bc I'm comfortable there. I been running this way last year, maybe this year ill decide to put a rear strap.
