Super Jet Turnplate quetion

I bought a umi turn plate for my 09 sj and im wondering how to install this thing.(I plan on buying a shmity cable and bracket) but im going to just install the turn plate and new bars for now. Im used to 550's and 650's and on them the turn plate goes onto a male piece and then the bushing and so on then the nuts to tighten it down. But when I took of the stock turn plate I found that the male piece with the threads to tighten it down is attached to it some how. and theres just a big hole in the top of the pole. I'm guessing you can't just simply put a umi turn plate on these new 08+ poles? How are pre 08's then? I'm so confused??? Somone please shed some light here.

I think I just found the answer to my own question. I need to buy a whole bearing system to accommodate the new turn plate, Which will include the piece the turnplate goes onto but ill have to drill holes and mount it to my pole? Correct?

I never ran a bearing setup for my steering, only bushings. Im pretty sure some drilling is involved though.
