I'm replacing the turf ont the sides of my RN SJ. It has the older style Ricter Footholds (I believe).
The padding that I'm taking off was a kit. It had extra padding that went on the bottom of the tray and the insides of the footholds. (what would be the top of your foot)
The question is , Is the padding in the foothold needed? Or do you all do ok with a single layer of turf?
What started this was the padding came off from the "knob" of the footwell. So when I would throw my foot around, I was kicking the plastic with the top of my foot ! I'm going to try to do it a bit more "seemless" to prevent this but should I have extra padding in there ?
