I have been debating on getting a set for my SN for awhile now and I think I am going to get a set, but I want some people's opinions, the destroyers look nice, but cost
Way to much IMO just to bolt them on when I plan on not taking them off. So which ones are better, tubbies or tom21/zero sponsons? They both mount the same, just a bit different. Any input?

if you are looking at tubbie 2's, I think tom21's are an improvement. His sponson is longer and has a smother transition to the hull. I've had both and the difference is noticeable.

the t3 destroyers have the most aggressive shape and the install is by far the easiest.

I have never used tubbies myself, but anything tom21 does and anything stanton says I will put my money on.

If you watch the west coast guys in the videos, most of their skis have the destroyers installed on them.

Destroyers 100%. Pricey but well worth it.

Yep, they are a bolt on with 3 bolts.

In hind sight I wish I held out for destroyers. I love my #0's, but would like it to be a bit wider up by the nose. More pop off wakes.

You can take them off if you smash your hull. Makes for easier repairs. Or if you sell your hull you can take them off. Plus they are a little wider up front.
I'm going to try making them even wider by putting a plastic spacer up front under the sponson..

227 made his own and I think they are 2.5" wide per side and he loves them in the Oceanside surf. Very wide up front, but they seem to work awesome. I dug watching him ride.

Destroyers are the best thing you can add to a rn to for surf IMO, well worth the money, way better than earlier versions.

Destroyers or make your own to suit your style... I have a set of Destroyers on one ski and WCF sponsons on another, and in future I will foam and mold my own to make them more aggressive than even the Destroyers.
