Other Ts 650 cavitation?????

i have an old school kawi ts 650, it takes off great out of the hole with the intake grate off. i put the grate on and it cavitates. if i turn to the left or right outta the hole it doesnt cavitate with the grate on. i had it all sealed up nice so thats not the issue.. pump clearance is good, impell is nice..whats the problem???

The problem? Where should I start :scratchchin:........ all joking aside, give us a little more info. Even though it is a couch, we'll take it easy on you. What pitch is the prop? What intake grate? Weight of rider/riders?

13/18 variable, stock aluminum grate..i had broken the original aluminum grate and got a new stock one and put it on and now this..i didnt change anything..

My buddies did the same thing lol, tried fixing it once, parted it out, bought it for $250 bucks with trailer, made $200 bucks profit overall lol
