I've been trying to get my ski tuned properly since I finished up the build a month ago but I'm still having problems with low end power. Motor is a ported 62T 730cc with dual 44mm SBNs, 190psi comp, Solas 13/17, and a R&D drypipe w/ Jetworks water injection. Jetting specs on the carbs: 115 pilots, 130 mains, L 1 turn, H 1.25 turns, 95g springs (18-19psi actual pop off), 2.0 need/seat.
Tried using 115g springs at first (~25psi pop) but it would just hesitate very badly so I dropped it to 95g springs and ~18psi pop. This cleared up most of the hesitation but I still have very little bottom end. The water injection seems to be working fine with the jets Art recommended (I drilled and tapped the pipe to put the jets as close to the injection point as possible). The ski absolutely RIPS once the RPMS come up a little bit (I would estimate around 3000-4000 RPM, no tach). The solinoid is located just about as close as possible to the injection points and is tapped into the cooling line before the motor for maximum pressure.
Any ideas? I'm thinking about dropping the pop off a bit more, maybe put in 80g springs, and increasing the water jet sizes a bit. I know that low end power can be just as good as a B-pipe with the R&D pipe so I'm thinking something is amiss with my settings...
