Trim lever

I have mountain and bmx levers also a xft lever. Has anyone found a perticular lever with more "action". It seems the lever pull distance is the limiting factor on full trim.

The AVID Speed Dial Ti V brake levers have about 32mm of cable pull and they have an adjustable cantilever with a red dial on the end.

#0 I'll look that one up, Thanks. I did not notice the pull distance on the levers on Jenson ect. The xft or any lever will get max pull but your starting point will begine riding around with the nozzel allready aiming up a little.

I have a mountain bike lever on my blaster's trim that I had to put in the vise and bend it more into a C shape lever to get it to pull the trim all the way up.... but it works great and still looks good.

Just a note when I rode BMX if you ran V brakes you had to use a V brake lever to get them to work right. Something about a v brake needing more pull...


So maybe a v brake lever is the best bet.

actually it is less pull, because if you installed v-brakes with regular levers they talked about how the brakes would crush the rims (not literally). That was the benifit, less effort with maximum braking.

what I do is take a protec trim-lever, heat it up and form it myself.

Did you have someone anodize your turn plate and bars or did you purchase them that way?

Those Avid levers were the best that I could find with the most cable pull.

I only have to adjust the fulcrum point about half way for maximum throw and they have an adjustable lever height for easy reach.

No the color is Sergio's. The nozzel now hits the tray, I may have to shave a little back there.
