Bought my Chan last year and received it the day before Daytona this year. It was shipped to Steve Nadolski at Fast Elements here in town. Steve N. tells me that Steve Ortega wants to know if I would send my hull down to Daytona to use as a booth piece. After talking to Ortega, he and I came to an agreement. The agreement was that I would send my hull down with Fast Elements and he would paint my handlepole to match the hull and send me something to mount the electrical box plate and an additional ride plate. He was also going to send me the necessary bolts to install the pump.

After a shipping mishap, I receive my pole back because I insured the pole and no one was there at his house to sign for it. I send it the second time using UPS and it arrives intact and ready for paint. The UPS tracking info showed that Ortega received my pole on February 26, 2014. UPS tracking number for those interested, 1Z210X410372433591

Here we are on June 16, 2014 and I have no pole. At this point I am not even worried about the other stuff. I'm upset that I am out of my X-Metal Comp length pole.

He has promised that he was shipping my pole on April 8 (confirmed this in a follow-up text on April 7), showed a picture of what I believe to be my pole on April 11, said it is leaving his shop "shortly" on April 16, said I should have it on April 28 (then said on the 28th he was heading to the post office), promised a tracking number on May 3, said he was heading to the post office on May 7, told me on May 15 he would get back to me with a tracking number.

On June 6th, I informed him that my wife was in the area for about a week and she would be able to come pick it up. No response until June 10 (the day before she left). He said he would bring it home with him that night and that he would call her when he was on the way home. He never called.

While the wife was in CA, she called Steve to try to set up a pick-up and obviously nothing ever materialized.

At this point, I have to believe he has either sold my pole or I just won't get it back. My last text to him was on June 10. There has been no response.

At this point I can't say for sure how I am going to proceed. I can say I wouldn't recommend doing business with Steve if you can't handle lack of communication and broken promises.
