Super Jet Tray thickness?

I'm in the process of replacing a pump mount and when I drilled through the tray, I was extremely suprised how thick it was.

Does this look right? I bought the ski used and its had a lot of owners.....





The ski is stupid heavy. I know the foam is wet, but i'm now assuming that someone reinforced the tray so that king kong could ride it, which isn't helping anything.

The original tray is the brown part. The other half inch is POFU (Previous Owner Fck Up)

king kong did in fact own it.


You might be better off pulling the turf off as well considering you pulled all the re enforcement out of it as well. At least then you'll know about every inch of the boat...

A good portion of that plug looks to be the green glue that holds the top tray to pump tunnel.

Good eye, yes it looks like more then half is green glue, yamaha use's a bunch around the fittings

Awesome, thanks guys. Out of curiosity, when y'all rebuild your trays, how thick do you make them?

I reinforced my tray after i re-foamed and install foot holds. Cant remember how many layers of mat and woven i used.

I did 2 layers of 19 oz carbon main area and three under the foot holds. All this was layed over styrofoam.
