People use it for either or. All depends on what you are looking for.

For stock class racing, the yamaha fz and seadoo rxpx300 are the top contenders and will generally pull holeshots. If you dont want to mortgage your house to race, there is a cheaper runabout 1000 class that the seadoo spark runs well in.
