Took a look under the head

Popped off the Protec head tonight, to see what kind of porting the motor in the new to me 2001 SJ has. Its a Protec port job, tell me about it someone...

Looks like one cylinder could use a slight clean up, but neither of the holes is scarred at all

Also, here's some pics of the pipe and the pump that was on the machine as well - these both may come to the sale board soon....

those domes, and that locking 'tit or key" that locates them, is identicle to the greater yamaha head and domes ive been looking for O rings for.

the dome size on my domes is engraved into the top of those FINS on the top of the head, but it is hard to see if dirty.

Who knows where to get the o-ring kit for that head and what model # is it? I'll check the domes again for any cc stamping too.

Also, anyone in the know want to give me some info on the porting?

those are the combustion chamber O rings.

the upper two for the dome, are 020 for the smaller one and 026 for the 1.25 inch one around the top of dome.
( both in BUNA) under $4 for a pack of 100 for each number at mcmaster carr

the outer shell ( LONG) O ring, is simply 1/16 cord stock, you need about 30"

That's a little different in the spark plug area from mine.

I did find the dome size, they're 35cc. Stamped on the side of the dome area - doh!!

Well, I found out more on the motor (and the whole boat actually) today -

I did a little research through Protec and found out the boat was once owned by racer Dev Sookram, he sold it to someone in Missouri when it was about a year or so old, and then never saw it again. Till I called him this evening. I told him about the X, he may get on sometime and check out his old machine, I told him that it's not going to look like it did when he sold it, he said it was spotless when he sold it.
