Tip to Quiet Front Exhaust

I've heard a lot of complaining about front exhausts being louder and this is correct. However, I have a suggestion that is a win/win (assuming that you are also still running the rear exhaust.

When you want quieter, you can plug up the front outlet with a rubber automotive expanding freeze plug (Autozone has these). You won't have the benefit of the front, but you will be able to reduce the dBs a bit if people are getting annoyed. It's kind of like old-school exhaust cutouts on cars.

good tip

does anyone else have a way to quite a xmw box down yet still allow flow out the front?

what is the benefit to the front exhaust? I cant think of one really, other than if your running a front only you wouldnt have the exhaust tube cluttering up your engine bay. If it has an outlet for water, use it.

the main benifit is that you dont have the air bubbles at the back of the ski cavitating the pump with air during certain tricks like tailstands and 50-50s and monkey jumps... all pretty much require a front outlet
