Anyone have any info on installation. The setup on the nozzle seems straight forward. But how and where do I run the cable? Thanks

Also any advice on making sure it is set up correctly? Like how much angle and slack I should have?

If your not adding a second thru hull tube for the cable you’ll ditch the siphon system. Use one existing tube for cooling and the other for your cable.

Cable adjustment, I have very slight slack with trim at rest... just so cable isn’t taut.... I also use a zip tie around both so cable doesn’t come off the wheel at certain times when landing....

You can grind the trim ring to get more trim, think I got 17 deg before grinding and after I have 21 deg

Use red locktite on trim and steering nozzle cap screws or they will fall out

you have to add a trim tube on the left side. Typically a 1/2" ID stainless tube (Get from McMaster-Carr).

I was planning on running dual cooling at the motor is being ported so the stock siphon will be used. With the stainless tube, that just acts as a thru hull? Did you guys just use a hole saw and fill with 3m 5200 or something of that nature?

If anyone has pics of their setup and thru hull that would be awesome

you go to lowes and buy a drill bit that is the same diameter as your tube OD. Find them in the electrical area, about 4' long. This way, you can "Aim" where you want it to come thru in the engine bay.

Thank you. Do you glue in the tube with marine sealant? Also how do you keep water from coming in engine bay? Just run bilge all the time?

There is a little rubber seal boot thing that you use to seal the tube around the cable. @JetManiac has them.

So I decided to run pex instead. Flexible so my holes didnt have to be exact and made for water. Any concerns?

Iam not familiar with the stuff.... but you’ll be pushing it thru foam so it kinda has to be straight. Just concerned if it’s from a curved roll, it may want to catch the foam at the tip as you push... maybe cover it in grease ??

aluminum or stainless tube works pretty easy

You'll get better adhesion to a metal tube than any plastic tube with pretty much any kind if adhesive. I'm not sure how you're planning on keeping the tube secured in there but I would keep that in mind.

Secure both ends with 3m 5200. It aint going anywhere
