Super Jet The case's

Im having a hard time understanding the differences in the case's and the ways to build SJ engines.

the 61 case is a bit lighter and not as strong as the 62 case right?

what about the cylinders ? How much can the 650SQ cylinder bore to? 760cc?
And can you use the 760 cylinder on a 61 case?

Once i had a FX-1 with a 760 engine, there the case was a bit high? the engine came from a waveblaster.

I know its a bit messy post but can you help me with some light on this :)

61x cases are generally single carb and do not flow as good as 62T cases. 61x cases can be bore to accept the 760 cylinder but keep in mind if the cases are not capable of flowing enough air for a 760 cylinder than its pointless unless your going to port the 61x cases and then you have to ask yourself why spend so much money to port a set of cases that are inferior to start with As for the 650 cyl its very restrictive and your money would be better spent at least buying a 61 X cylinder.

Nicolaj,

The 61X and 62T cases are both fine in strength, like mentioned above the flow is the difference. The 62T has a side-oriented reed mounting area versus the 61X with top mount. The 62T reed petal area is larger and can accommodate more flow, and position of the flow is better in relation to the transfers and crank.

The 6M6 650 cylinder can be bored at least to 81mm (stock 701 61X bore size). However, the 6M6 port sizes aren't optimal for flow, especially in larger bore sizes.

760 Cylinders can be used on 61X cases, and 62T cases, but the top case half needs to be slightly opened up due to the larger sleeve diameter (Fly cut on a mill).

Any questions feel free to PM me, if you want 61X cylinders or 62T cases let me know! Your parts that you ordered from us should be arriving shortly, hope all is well in Denmark.

Thanks,

Kurt
