650/X-2 The $200 X2

just as the title says... picked this thing up for $200 from a friend who had it sitting in his yard for 5 years, put a battery in it and got it to crank but no spark, swapped the coil out for a 650sx one i had laying around and got it to fire, everythings there besides a few minor things missing, trying to make the most out of it while spending the least amount of money possible, just wanna ride it this year and maybe turn it into a major project next winter so i dont have 2 projects at once.

found some brand new UMI bars and billet steering base on a shelf in the shop

traded @CrazyJoesRacing some mill work for a TR racing head

got some weird compression after bolting the head on so i pulled the motor completely out, sure enough someone thought oil is supposed to go in the front cover... but i did find it had Boysen 2-stage reeds already in it

not too sure whats going on here....

looked underneath and the intake grate and inserts were totally gone, pulled the pump and found it already has a skat 15 pitch impeller in it
