Temporary Single Cooling Setup

I currently have a dual cooling setup for my 750/650sx conversion and considering the water and air is cold, along with my recreational setup, i was wondering whether i could make a temporary single cooling setup without removing the thru hull line.
My current setup:
750sx small pin non ported (eventually will be)
155 PSI compression (will bump eventually)
Stock electronics
Westcoast 650 pipe (eventually a factory limited setup)

The water at my lake is currently 55 Fahrenheit and air is 55 as well. They do rise in the summer though to 80F+ water and 90+ air. Also with the upgrades i do plan to do i will probably need dual cooling, so I don't plan on getting rid of it.

Could i just install a cap on 1 fitting on the head fitting and 1 fitting on the exhaust manifold. Then run the second intake line straight to the pisser, and when it warms up reinstall the lines as the dual setup?

Keep it duel cooling and just restrict the flow by putting a small piece of fuel line or whatever you want inside the 3/8" cooling line

I used to use a ball valve in line to restrict flow on mine. I didnt really need it and took it off but it would work perfectly for this. Picked it up at lowes and bought barb fittings for either end to make it simple.
