Temp gauge on a jetski

Thumbing through ebay saw this with a temp gauge. Being that seadoo, yamaha, kawi, have never thought to put a temp sensor one would think there is no logical reason to put one on there, then again most the time they dont change anything on a jetski for years on end...

Is this a good idea or bad idea. I know you dont stare at your feet when riding so I would think its a waste.. but then again if it were to start running poorly you stop and look down you might see the problem...

kawasaki 750's had a sensor in the e-box that would weakin the spark and just give you enough power to get back to shore without doin too much damage, it ended up bein a problem on mine so i just disconnected it

I use this setup to adjust water restrictors at the bypass fittings.

It's not permanent but it allows you see the temperatures while tuning.

Thats alright, I would have no idea what to look for, I usually figure If it I can touch the water at all its to dam hot and it needs more flow. Wow, thread dumping on my own thread, dont remember if you pm me the b pipe specs but what should I have the pipe screws set at? Would rather lean on the safe side...
