the answer used to be NO on the tiny tach, as it did not update fast enough. However, the new model does appear (from the specs at least) to update much faster than the older ones.
However, there's no comparison still to the PET 2100-DX tach. It's the best, but it's also the priciest. It has been the gold standard for a while.
If you have to remove the carbs, don't underestimate the importance of re-syncing the butterflies after assembly. You can do this by eye (the worst), do it by sound by putting a long tube in the throat and matching the pitch by ear (better), or by using a snail synchrometer (the best). If you want a snail for your toolbox, then the one to get is the one made in Germany by STE. You want the "SK" version, it fits dual 38's with no choke plates perfectly. Stay away from the China made ones. Note: I used an STE SK synchro on your carbs before you picked up the ski, after I had checked out the carb internals to make sure the filters were clean.
Also, I have to throw my two cents in here again: I know everyone and their brother loves the modded dual 38's...except me. I think it is because the filled crossover goes along with that package. Lots of people do the filled crossover, but the few that have done actual back-to-back testing don't like it...me included. So, all I'm trying to say is this: those are good carbs...but are going to be much harder to tune "just right" than stock dual 38's and a stock (unfilled) intake manifold. If you want to be able to set-it-and-forget-it, I still recommend selling them (the internals are in great shape, no issues) and getting a stock carb/intake setup...and put the profit toward a lightened stock flywheel. I did that on my ski, and by fine-tuning the program in the EPIC ignition (you have one too), I got better response than I ever did with the modded 38's/filled crossover.
