SX/SXi/SXi Pro sxi pro ebox vs sx ebox

Im gonna run a small pin in my sxi pro I have both eboxs from the big pin and small pin I heard the big pin ebox is better my question is will I need to use the big pin stator as well?

If you already have the MSD and it works I would run it, unless you have a advance plate on your stator pickup. I had a MSD enhancer along time ago, but it had issues. I could never tell a real performance difference between the enhancer and a stock CDI with an advance plate myself.

I'm gonna thread jack. Is a advance plate a good idea? I have quite a bit done to my ski and dont want to sacrifice longevity of the engine. I was always told to not run a advance plate on the pro since it already has a bit more timing than the older skis.

You should not run an advance plate on a ski with a big pin CDI-- the BP CDI has more advance built in than the older units out of an SX or other SP motors.

Thats what I was always told too. Tim from Zforce said I could run the advance plate but had to stay away from full throttle for more than a few seconds. I let several friends ride mine and dont want to deal with babysitting them

I have heard that part too-- but my position has always been its not worth the risk...

yep, I have too much money tied up in my motor to make it a time bomb.

I know some do it without issues, glad its working for them.

Done thread jacking...
