Switched pump stuffer for a 201

Now it acts like trash is in the pump. Here is what I have
01 SJ
stock ride plate
Bpipe
ADA 180psi head
MSD enhancer
14/18 super slim line

I have never riden any other skis before so I dont have anything to compare it to. With the worx pump stuffer it would jump out of the water any time you gave it gas. Now it has no low end at all. The reason I got the 201 was for more low end for flatwater tricks, now I have zero. Could the impeller be causing this? :dunno:

Since there are 100's of SJ out there without a pump stuffer and with the 201 that work well (mine included), this is an isolated problem (your ski).

I've never installed one of those Worx pump stuffers, but if you needed to remove the pump/driveshaft maybe your pump seal is bad!?!?

IIRC, a pump stuffer will give you more mph (1 or 2 mph) but take away some of the bottom hit.

We have had tons of impeller trials and errors and it sucks because it's hard to get the right combination of stuff. I don't know if this will help your situation but here it goes. I have an fx1 with a superjet pump and I had some of what your talking about and no one could give me any good suggestions of impellers. It seemed like I could never get enough water in the pump (probably due to a smaller intake area) and thus I never had a powerband anywhere. So I finally decided to quit listening to everyones suggestions and ordered a 12/17 freeride even though everyone told me it would just spin the crap out of it and do no good. Ha, I got tons of bottom end and ended up with more top end than most people are comfortable with on an fx1. So my new theory is see what the "experts" say and take it down a pitch size at first because they were all telling me to use a 13/18 freeride. So my theory is that if your "stuffing" the pump your going to have to compensate by spinning up the impeller faster. I'm no expert only a redneck. I hope this at least gives you some food for thought.

I replaced the grate only so I know the pump is sealed. I was thinking the Super Slim was for mid to high end, and for low end you needed a SK Swirl or Solas Concord.
