Supet jet prop question

so if i go with a skat-trak 12/17 it will be great for flat water, but do they handle bad in the surf?

then the other question is if i get the Freeride prop will it not have as much bite in fresh water?

More of my riding will be in the surf but I have a week long flat water 8 hours of riding a day trip coming up for July first and thats where ill be riding my new wamiltons sponsor superjet. Just want to make sure it wont be a headache for any reason.

I12/17 sounds like its a great all around prop. The Skat Freeride is a 13/17 I think, either would work for a strock to limited application.
