I just bought a new superjet and know that eventually I will have to replace the wet foam under the foot tray (which will be a long time). Is there anyway to extend the longetivity by sealing up certain places to make a more waterproof seal? what would be good to use as a sealer?

5200 around all the waterlines and bilge lines. Exhaust tube and cover up the 2 plastic patches with 5200.
