Superjet Bendix

Ive been having some trouble with starting my ski, it is making that typical whining sound coming from the Bendix. Ive takin the flywheel cover off and checked out the bendix, it appears to be working correctly. Im not going to have a chance to finish it for a month or so so was just going to leave the cover open. I live near the beach and am worried that the salty air will cause more corrosion. Is there any issues with spraying all the flywheel and bendix with INOX while its sitting there???

Make sure the flywheel teeth aren't grooved out on the tips, and that the teeth on the wider side (side closest to starter) of the bendix aren't mushed (you'll see the fine horizontal lines on them if they aren't mushed)
If those aren't the issue you can check the spring located in the flywheel cover to make sure it's still strong (there's a small washer on top of the spring so don't lose it)
I'd check all those things, grease her up a little, and throw it back together.
