Super jet 701 Question

Hey Im new to the standup scene and a good buddy of mine is in the process of building me a 92 701 Superjet. The ski is pretty much complete except for a ride plate and intake grate.

Like I said Im a noob so Im still learning. Anybody have any suggestions for decent freestlye ride plate and intake grate? Ive heard Protec makes a decent part, but I thought i get some extra advice.

Thanks

The ride plate and pole length have most to do with your height and weight as well as the way you ride most of the time. If you are 6 feet tall and 200+ then you will probably need a long plate and shorter pole. Little guys are fine with the stock pole/plate. You don't need a finned plate on a Superjet because they turn flat. You do need a Worx 201 grate no matter what. Find a plain extended plate for going fast and a stock one for the surf.

If you are riding in the surf, you'll want to "D" cut a stock ride plate. Basically, you are cutting a half moon out of the back edge of the plate.

You can kind of see it on mine. If you do a search you will find all kinds of info on it.

IMO 201 worx, Stock ride plate

The shorter the ride plate the higher the nose of the ski will be thats why racers have such long ride plates.
