sunk kawasaki 800sxr

hi all, i'm a newbie to the whole jet ski thing and have a problem with the ski i'm using.. this weekend i was in the pacific ocean and ran out of gas. i had to get towed back in and while we were in the no wake zone my 800sxr was not on plane and the motor got completely flooded. now i havent started it since and took the plugs out and flipped it upside to get all of the water out.. i cranked the motor over w/o plugs and lots of water/mist has been coming out of the plug holes. i sprayed tons of wd40 in the motor and am leaving the cover open so it can air dry. is there anything else i need to do before i try starting it tomorrow? thanks!

Don't wait till tomorrow.. Get it running now!!!!!!!

Keep turning ocver in short bursts with plugs out until only fuel being pumped out plug holes (make sure leads are grounded )

Use new plugs and screw in loosely at foirst until you ghet it started. then run on hose for as long as you can to get some heat into crank and cylynders to dry out any remaining water in cases,..

Then take off hose and fogg the ******** out of that baby and then for good measeure put heaps of oil back down the plug holes and turn over buy hand to get it into the crank cases to help protect those bearings....

Then ride first thing again tomoorow and make sure you fogg it good and proper when done....

with that water ingestion i would definately run it for atleast 15 minutes to get the water out as soon as you can......especially since it was corrosive salt water

If you didn't get it started within about an hour, chances are the motor is toast. The saltwater is very very corrosive and you have to get it out immediately. In the future, get it started right away and run it for several minutes (in the water or on a flush hose) to get the motor up to temp and get every bit of water out and all the parts covered in oil. Good luck.

Your screwed. However, if you had filled the motor with wd then drained it before trying to start it you might get lucky. Always get them running as soon as possible, or its rust city.
