Trying to rebuild XL800 carbs here.

Are those 44SBN I-bodies?
Also, what size needle & seat is in those? 2.0?

yep, 1.2 N/S throw them away and throw away the accelerator pump while your at it. the accelerator pump spray nozzle makes for a great primer though!

Yep you need at least 1.5 or 2.0 needle and seats with the proper springs to get the popoff where it needs to be.Welcome to the wonderful world of emissions crap!:wiggle:

Kewl rebuild them to stock specs and make damn sure the accel pump functions, that jetting will only work if it does.

Guy was convinced his carbs caused his topend to melt down and wants me to rebuild his carbs.
Okay sir. Be sure to check EVERYTHING on that engine, because I doubt it was the carbs.
Still, he was sure.
Then he found the oil line to one cylinder plugged.

Now I got a 97 Seapoo SPX in my garage. Got called over to reinstall a battery and fix a wiring problem, only to find the engine up to its eyeballs in water. :lmao:

No electric bilge pump.
Her brother had it on Sunday and brought it back with the words: It won't crank, it's an electrical issue.

:haha:

I've got most of the water out, but I can't get spark.
