stock reed spacer

im putting together a 62t 701 and im missing the spacer between the reeds and the intake manifold. can i go without it? or does anyone know how thick it is so i can make my own? in the parts diagram it looks identical to the gasket so i figure i could use that as a stencil. this is the only thing keeping the motor from running and i was suposed to go ridding tomorrow so thanks in advance for any help

It's just a very thin metal plate identical to the gasket. I think it provides backing for the crossover passage in intake manifold.

If you fill the manifold crossover with JB-Weld or Devcon aluminum and lap the surface you won't need to use that aluminum plate with the two intake gaskets. Also it will improve the pulse signal to fuel pump.
