300/440/550 Start/stop switch

This may be a stupid question, I have a 87 650sx and was wondering what stop start switchs (other manfaturer oem) will work with out much modification. reason being i want one with a lanyard/engine cut off and a bilge switch all in thr same unit?

I guess my question is are they semi universal or?

You could always splice one into the oem cable harness. Check out this:

This is a very easy install. You have two wires for the start switch, two wires for the stop/lanyard switch.

When you push the start button, you're closing a contact.

When you push the stop button/pull the lanyard, you're closing a contact.

Easy as pie.

The switch in the ebay listing is a later model polaris switch.

yea but it will work .. I bought a few ofthem , I was going to use it on my X2 .. i already test spliced it in .. works great ,, and then you have that exta button fpr a cool horn LOL .. well i was thinking bilge but a horn might be fun LOL
