do I remove the white padding underneath to turf it, or do I turf over it?

You turf right to the plastic man :headbang: remove the foam and sand the plastic with 60 grit and your golden :headbang:

i was thinking blowsions glove fit. it looks cool, but seems sloppy. I want staple, but staple is UGLY

rickster did staples. it looks good from the top, but then the stocker is stapled as well. make sure you get the turf good and warm/flexible before applying. i did mine with 2 slices near the back. i did sakit2me's with no cuts at all. both look very clean but i prefer no cuts.

I originally glued and stapled the turf on my nose pad, and it held up great. When I had to modify the pad to accomodate the umi steering and straight bars, I turfed straight onto the platic, and bevelled the edges.

Wroks much better, and looks much cleaner.

yes, you have to cut the side of the pad all the way back the screw insert. I put UMI steering, with a -2 xmetal plate and xmetal straight bars.

Without the mod, I've pretty much f*cked up my sterring cable...:17:

When turfing your chinpad you have to glue it on with contact cement first .
I wrapped mine right around to underneath the plastic for the best neat clean look .
I also use the black rubber based super glue used to glue the tires on remote control cars to seal the edges after I wrapped it underneath .
There is no better way ,heat up the truf with a hair dryer for easier molding to the chin pad .
If there are any depressions in the plastic just go over them and don't try to turf the exact shape of the plastic .:headbang:

Im waiting for my UMI steering to get here so I can bolt it up, and see how my chinpad and bars like eachother.

Here ya go :headbang: You can see in the second pic how I wrapped it underneath about an inch and then sealed it with the black super glue which I got at a hobby shop (used to glue tires on )
