Custom/Hybrid square nose- all parts= EME Micro FR

Well the other day Eric malone sent me a picture saying my red gelcoat has arrived at his shop so i figured it is time to start my first and hopefully not last build thread.

Square Nose Superjet: My original ski i have had for the past three years is a 92 square nose with a swapped 61x 701 with a westcoast head and a coffman exhaust. The pump is stock but i was just given a solas prop that i think is a 12/16. I have also put a RRP pole on the superjet and will be transfering everything to the new hull.

New Hull: The hull i got is a 2014 eme micro Fr with a yamaha drive train and a yamaha pump. Eric has told me it should be next on the list as soon as he fixes a couple things in the mold and waxes it up.

So i decided it was a good idea to send my pump to EME so they can do the Yamaha conversion and get the alignment spot on. Well we shipped the pump on monday and lets just say thank god for shiping insurance. The steering nozzle broke so i need to order a new one asap.

Eric has spent some time working out the details on this. I know Ryan is running the yamaha driveline on his set up as well as a few others now. Interested to see it myself. I know how it was done but would liek to see the finished product in person.

Good luck with the build, should be a fun ski

Is your SN sitting in your living room or is this your shop? Either way killer set up!

The square nose is in the basement, to cold in the garage to work.

And I am not Exactly sure on how he is doing the pump. Won't be long till I know!

Just finishing up a Micro Build with Kawi pump but hulls now come tapped to run kawi or yamy pump. I helped Ryan with his build also, yamy pump lines up very well. Cant wait to get mine finished Ryan is loving his....

UPDATE: the gel coat color has been changed. When we ordered the red they had nothing to reference and sent a very dark if not purple color so I decided to switch to a highlighter green.

The darker green is "monster green" and my color is the lightest one

Well me and my dad painted the motor tonight a stock ish looking color for the case and cylinders. Then we repainted the head red and the air box a cool looking silver metal flake.

The pipe just got done being polished. Turned out so good! So much better then I expected. Way to excited to get my hull this weekend and throw this thing together. Next step is cutting down the pole.
Does anyone know how long to make the RRP tubes for the micro?

Evan, from my notes i was at 32 inches from pivot to pivot on my Q8. I would say you would need to go well shorter. I would text Ryan and try to get a pivot to pivot measurement

On your pole lenght you will onlly need to have 4 inches of silver tubing showing between lower bracket and upper bracket. i dont know how far the tubes go inside brackets. but i know the tubes are short maybe 12 inches.

Ya looks like your Micro will be much shorter than Q8 setup. I am set at 35 pole bolt to bars, with around 10-11" of tube showing (dont remember that measurement).
