i'm going to a dry pipe in my ski. missed out on the octane dry pipe and i can't find a type 9 anywhere. what do you guys think about a type 4 or a speedwerx?

Have you checked with Randy at Watcon? He might have an Octane dry pipe, or he could tell you if the type 4 or 9 can be made to fit (and how)
I have seen the R&D dry pipe fit on the octane. I know the hood seal lip had to be cut out a bit to clear.

he doesn't have any dry pipes. Also seems busy enough where I can't get any more then serious modification. I've only spent like 200 bucks with him so I don't blame him.

Try http://www.roguejets.net/old_site/octane.htm you'll have to call them but on there site it says they have r&d dry pipes and high compression heads for the octane.
