something happened to my steering, any ideas?

hey everyone, i was out doing some nose stabs today having a ton of fun, even though it was extremely rough but still alot of fun. anyways, after one stab i didnt have any seering, i took it to the beach and it had a little bit of throw, and when i moved the nozzles it still turned the bars, so i dont think i broke the cable. i had to ride a a one plus mile ride all the way back to the ramp. any ideas what could have happened, im kind of lost were to go from here.

Check the cable support on the pole. I had that wear out on my UMI pole & it would come lose & allow the cable to move.

Same thing, it would turn but no throw.

under the chin pad, where the cable goes through the pole. There is suppose to be a little upside down U shaped piece to hold the cable in place. WIthout the U shaped piece, the whole cable moves, instead of your nozzle.

alright, that sounds about right, i can see the whole cable moving so thats gotta be it, but im afriad that piece is gone, can i pick something up from the local hardware store or should i just order it?

pic would be hepful, but your probally gonna have to fab up something. The slot in my umi pole blew out, so I had to make a holder for the steering cable, been there for 4 years now without a problem. I used a piece of 1/8x 1 flat stock, drilled 2 holes, cut a slot, and ground a taper. As I said, been workin great. Sorry no pics

I had to do the same thing for my RN pole. Used aluminum flat stock from Home Depot, works like a champ and way cheaper and quicker than ordering a new one.

eghh, i looked at it and the whole retaining bracket was gone, so i just put the cable in, put a long taping screw through the handpole and it worked out awesome, theres not much pressure on the cable to it should work fine....
