why? Some 320 or lower grit sandpaper (handsanding) would do it though if your looking for more 'grip'. If you have an electric sander, 400 would do.

I believe those impellers are NOT balanced from the factory. I am guessing that anyways, as Impros offers balancing while implying they do not come that way.
 
you could use that energy to blueprint the pump instead of scffing the prop for better hookup. I don't think that a dull sanded prop would do that much as far as a noticeable gain would go.. ...well blueprinting the pump isn't a noticeable gain either.. I can't think of a noticeable gain for just labor.

Ok nevermind sand away but I would use a scuff pad on a right angle grinder. for a quick smooth job.

I understand you might throw the tolerances, but just getting rid of the finishes isnt losing that much material. I would do it, but then again impros is a good deal up there, I remember how much vibration (a LOT) I lost when I balanced my plane props.
