Blaster Solas pump need help

Ok my buddy just got the complete solas pump with trim wear ring pump bearings and seals everything. it wasnt meant to go into a blaster but hes gonna make it work the only thing we can see is that on the steering/trim nozzle the arm that the trim cable hooks to is to long so either he is going to cut it down and drill a new hole or cut into the hull which dosent make sense to me. i just want to know if anyone has any input or done this before and also we cant figure out what cable to use or what cable mount to use. hes got about $1500 in the pump and solas dosent really offer any info on this thing. thanks

Looking at a picture from Impros site, http://impros.com/store/index.php/p...-yamaha-144mm-12-vane-complete-pump-unit.html , I can see what you mean. It doesn't look like it could ever fit. I'm thinking it might be because its intended to be a drop nozzle. They have the arm pointing up in the impros picture, (but they also have the nozzle upside down compared to the wear ring.

Lmao I know cant believe they are gonna sale a pump for 1500 and have a pic for the wear ring upside down. It will fit. But the trim arm is gonna have to be modified a little bit. I will post up some pics once he gets it figured out. Thx

I'm just looking at getting on of these pumps at the moment... Did you ever figure if all out? Does it fit without any problems or did you have to do some modifications?

It's a straight bolt on fit. No cutting required.
