The pump on my waveblaster was getting noisy when I would blow the water out after riding this summer. I decided it's time for a new pump housing (wear ring). I thought I would go with the Solas YBS-HS-144. I got it yesterday and tried the fit with one of my spare impellers. I could push the impeller through the housing but it was super tight. I thought maybe installed on the pump it would be properly aligned and all would be well. I tried installing it today. I did a dry fit. I can get the housing installed and the bolts tightened but I can't spin the impeller by hand. I tried using the shaft spline tool but even with a moderate amount of force it won't spin. I can fit an 0.2mm feeler guage past parts of the blades but others I can't. My impeller is a Hooker 10/16. Anybody else had this problem? I can send it back but I would like to get this housing to work.
