SN throttle cable installation..help please

any tips and advice to help me install a new throttle cable in my SN? Can it be done with the fuel tank in place?

taking the gas tank out makes almost everything easier in a SJ. anything is possible but why make it harder then it needs to be.

pull tank
cut old cable at carb
use old cable to snake new cable up pole
re install tank

tank takes 5 seconds to remove, pull it

Thanks, fuel tank removal with the B pipe is possible, just a twist and a tug.
