SX/SXi/SXi Pro Small pin carb upgrade ???'s

Location

I have a friend looking to upgrade from the stock single. He wants better throttle response as it has just a hair of lag now. Believed to have had some clean up porting nothing crazy an running around 190psi comp.
Are the stock sxr I body carbs the way to go? Will the intake work on the 750 bottom end?

What's some opinions from you
Guys for an upgrade.
Thanks

the SXR carbs / manifold will bolt right on, and are a good upgrade if set up / jetted properly.

a single 46 is also an excellent upgrade on a 750SX.

Will the stock 750sx throttle cable work on 750sxi carbs? I think that the 750sxi is longer. I want to upgrade to 96 or newer mikuni duals which run on the sxi. Riggowrestler when you said those carbs rip, do they rip all over the powerband or just low or top end?

You need a cable and bracket, OEM Kawasaki cables are relatively cheap.

You can also pick up a set of dual keihins off a sit down for about the same price that you can sell your single for. I think I actually made a couple bucks when I did this.

That's what we did. I still have them in my truck unfortunately lol he has the ski completely stripped down and painting it at the moment.

i have a set of dual CDK II for sale with arrestor and manifold if you're interested... The manifold has one of the little nipples broken off (but you will probably block those off anyway) and the arrestor has a small chip in it. I would sell it cheap because of the faults.
