Rebuild pics=FAIL!!!

I had skibum rebuild my motor, crank, cylinder, pistons...got it home wouldn't idle, would only rev up so I took it to a local shop that works on SJ,he called tonight and said all of the old gaskets were not cleaned off,the cases were filthy, chunks missing outa the pistons...I paid skibum $750 for this rebuild and now who knows how much more to have the cylinder rehoned with new pistons! I coulda bought a whole used motor in great shape for $500-600

Text him pics of the damage and said he owes a partial refund or some parts or something but no anwser...he told me to bring it back and he will fix it right but he is over 3 hrs away and I don't want him working on my ski after seeing the damage and how it was thrown together

I have not. Not responded to any of your texts. The last text i got was when you were showing off your new ski. And also had many phone conversation with you before you posted this thead.

Terry came in to purchase a Used top end and have it installed. When he got the the motor was completely rusted almost solid. After not wanting to leave the ski. I even pulled a new crank out of a friends motor that was waiting on the top end. After installing everything I told him his orings in head were shot completely and his oring in dry pipe coupler was almost completely gone. After he said put it back together and he would get head orings and he didn't care about the coupler oring. I put it back together. Be that it was 11:30 at night now. I only test fired the ski with gas in the carbs. I put the parts requested in with all new gaskets and did no further testing. I told him the carbs looked ok from the outside looking in but they probably need to be at Least cleaned. With not having the ski for anymore time. All I could was what he asked. He also saw every part and watched me every step of the way. With not know what elts was wrong with the ski and if he went and did the maintenance still needed. There is nothing elts I can do for him. I told him to bring it back and plan on leaving it. But the would be a change. For other needed repairs not related to my work( the day after be was here) He was unwilling. Weeks later and not knowing what he did In between taking it somewhere elts. I also remember at one point he was taking it apart him self. Also the new mechanic always blames the other guy. I made every effort to have him bring it back and give me more than 8 hours I already spent working in the dark for him. At this point every reasonable effort bas been made. At this point I'm done with it.

As far as knock off parts go. I do make glass and carbon parts. Thanks for the ad. And Darrin(superjetmatt) thought this was a factual opinion and no person attacks forum. Seems like this is just a slam on me thread. Not the just state the facts

U didn't even clean the old gaskets off the parts causing an air leak, all I did was fire it up a couple times and it just revved up really high, didn't clean any of the parts and for $750 I would think it woulda been done right,of course I'm not gonna bring it back because u didn't do it right the first time...there was a fuel line left off the carbs also I had to put on myself
