ski stalling question- electrical

wifeys ski was stalling, intermittantly, yesterday while she was riding and today when i started it a few times.

would a loose positive battery connection cause this? it was very loose but still started with no problem. i know a kawi 650 motor will run w/o the positive connection after startup, but would a 701 SJ w/ an enhancer? or would it die out from the vibration making the loose connection lose contact?

after tightening it, it didnt stall anymore, so im assuming that was the problem..... or is it?

the MSD enhanser needs power (unlike maybe the OEM CDI) to run so if the power is out...guess what??:cool2:

Nope. Without battery power, the enhancer is dead. Major difference to the stock CDI.

Without the battery in the circuit, the rectifier/regulator will not produce any output without a load. This is typical of many voltage regulator designs.

The stock electrical system will work fine without a battery once it's running. Very typical for many CDI systems.
