Ski shutting down?

Alright guys need a little help. At the end of last season my ski (2001 sj) would cut out while at 1/2 throttle or higher. Just like I had hit the stop switch. 90% of the time it would start right back up, sometimes it had to crank a little but always started back up. Over the winter I put b-pipe, head, and rebuilt carbs. First time out this season it did the same thing. Thought maybe tank vent...so replaced. Well, still doing the same thing. Very annoying and quite embarassing as it has sent me over the bars a couple of times! Suggestions?

I'd lean towards a stator or coil...I've seen the same issue on quads. They'll run fine at low rpm/low load. As soon as you get them spinnin though the stator cuts out. Grab a service manual and check out the stator
