Maybe this should go in off-topic? Just stumbled upon this video, seems like cool tech. Engine charges a capacitor which can use that energy to turn the magneto into an electric motor to re-start the engine.

I don't think it would work too well without the superior atomizing DI provides. Great idea though! I wonder why they don't utilize it with a battery and get rid of the starter for those that want electric start all the time?

I feel like this would work great on an MX bike where you could really benefit from a quick restart after stalling.

They do have electric start if you want all the time...the idea is to have electric start without the weight...otherwise you can just have pullstart with the shot or without
