SJ plug foul

So my 2006 SJ starts up, I ride for 20 or so minutes fall off or kill it myself and go to start it and it fouls out. So everytime i have to pull the plugs, clean em, blow out the heads let itvsot for 10 minutes then fires up fine. But I go to stop it and it happens all over again immediately. My carbs are clean, new plugs, new battery. I cant tell if I'm not riding hard enough or if it's just flooding it when I go to start.

I've had hot restarting issues from the low speed adjuster set to lean. Fuel enters below the throttle blade via the low speed outlet. If you have low speed adjustes try richening it and see if you get any improvement. Restarting seems easier at 1 to 1 1/4 turns out.. good luck

I have to stay giving throttle or else it dies within 5 or 4 seconds.

Oh so your idle speed may be set to low as well ?

Because of emissions your adjusters may be covered/blocked by a small pressed in cover..

You can search how to remove them, it's been discussed in other threads... idle speed should 1400 rpm, your engine should stay idling.. obviously...

For location reference iam pointing to the low speed adjuster and boss on this carb, you can also see the idle speed adjuster to the right..

Look at yours around here you'll prolly find yours still covered.. other pic is high speed adjusters

Thank you man, I turned my idle up while connected to the hose adapter. It stays running all on it's own, I dont know how many rpms it's at but I'm going to adjust it next time I'm in the water to see how much it moves away from me. I have dual carbs on my SJ and found the low and high speed adjusters. But I'm going to feel how it it with theb idle before I adjust those. Thanks again
