Super Jet SJ acting crazy - need some help...

This winter I did a complete rebuild of my ski. Brand new motor! Took it out for it;s maiden voyage in the surf and it ran for about 10 mins and then would not start again. after playing with it for a bit, I unplugged the stop switch and it fired up. Rode it for about 5 mins, then it stalled and wouldn't start again.

Went through the switch and tested all the connections. had a draw on the battery that I fixed.

Took it to the river, ran great all weekend!!!!

Took it to the ocean - crapped out.... again.

Took it to the lake - Ran awesome!!!

Just got home from the surf where - (you guessed it...) it took a dump again.
It got so bad that before I drove home it wouldn't even crank. Hit the switch = nuthin! Could get spark.
Got home- hit the switch and it turned over just fine. It was too late to try to start it, but if history repeats itself, it will fire up tomorrow with no issues.

Anyone have any idea what the heck is going on with this thing? The salt water seems to piss it off! Only have 3-4 hours on the new motor. It's bumming me out :(

If your plug wires arent in very good shape, the salt water makes it much easier for the spark to short to ground. It might be time for plug wires or a coil. start up the eninge in the dark and see if the plug wires are shorting to ground somewhere.
