So, I was thinking about something to hand to people when you meet folks at the lake that dont know about this website.

the X-h20.com stickers will help.

but someone should put something together like a business card, make 20 per sheet, and we could print them and hand them out.

Ive often searched for a pin to write down email addresses, or websites to folks I meet.

this would make it simpler!

I have no artistic talent though.
so its just a suggestion.

I'm not the best at this, but my wife has a 'business card' program on her computer. I will get her to work on it this week and see if she can save it to a file-put a short cut in a thread-then we can print off a sheet, cut it up, and pass them out. KILLER IDEA! Several peeps at the campground at Lanier asked me wut was goin on-tried expalinin it-failing miserably-turned them around at shore line and started explainin names of tricks guys were doin-one couple was older than dirt-but-became really into it!!!

You get like 300 cards or something for free if you just pay shipping($5.00) You have to use one of their designs but its okay.

It's not a scam or anything...I've done it before for a local hobby shop. Worked great

We dont want to expose the site to folks that wouldnt aprpeciate it for what it is?

we just have to be selective then.

I ALWAYS stop and talk to anyone with a stand up.

Saw a guy at Lowes Sunday with a Superjet, I stopped and talked to him.

I was about to mention the site, and then he started talking about his other boat, a 3 seater seado that went 70+.

so I never said anything.

Lol - that's what I'm sayin! My lake is filled with XP riders doing donuts in the no-wake area. I don't think I need to give them a business card. But one SU rider I was talking to recently does come on this site.

When did 'by riders for riders' not include couches? Am I missing something?

I would guess that the majority of us were converted from couches at some time, and what better way to get the freeride to grow than to invite them over, make them feel welcome, and then convert them!:smashfreakB: :biggrin:

I dont exclude them because they ride couches, I will befreind and pass the site along to anyone who is COOL, and rides responsibly.

I just rarely see that on anything other than standups around me.

and like I said, there are some standup riders that I wouldnt show the light either.

I'm not against couches - I started on one. My point was the idiots doing 360's ten feet from the dock. Towing on a two seater. Blasting through the no wake zone after boozing it up. I don't want to be associated with those types. Nothing against people that ride responsibly - I just don't see a lot at the lake where I ride.

This is a prett good idea. i'm with thrillskr, most....well i say 99% of the people at my riding spot look at me like i have a dick growing out of my forehead when they see me riding my sj. i guess i need to quit shunning them and pass around a few of these cards and maybe some of them might convert to standups.

we want this to stay nice and cool the way it is.

Business cards get wet. Get sticker for your gear/ski, or water resistant cards. And the X is not the only site by riders for riders as you proposed in your drawing but that's just my two cents.
